Adriana is a goal-oriented and self-motivated individual who thrives in collaborative roles and excels at multitasking. Originally from Colombia, Adriana has been living on the beautiful island of Aruba for over 25 years. This journey has taught her that nothing is impossible when you truly commit to your goals.
After completing high school, she decided to pursue higher education at Colombia University in 2012, studying International Business and Administration online. This experience allowed her to turn her career aspirations into reality.
Marriage and parenthood brought a significant shift in her life. When she had her first daughter, Adriana began to think deeply about her education. Questions like “Which school will she attend?” led Adriana to consider a career in teaching. Adriana realized that becoming a teacher would allow her to guide not only her daughter but also other children in their learning journeys.
Adriana began her teaching career at YNZ Montessori High School, where she started as a Kitchen & Garden Guide. Her responsibilities included preparing the classroom environment, supervising student activities, guiding them with nutrition, and helping them develop cooking skills. This role strengthened her confidence and affirmed her passion for teaching.
Inspired by the Montessori philosophy, Adriana decided to become a full-time teacher. She fell in love with the Montessori lifestyle so much that her own children now attend a Montessori school. “As a Montessori teacher and mother, my goal is to raise children to be free, independent, and determined to follow their dreams.”
After obtaining her certification of Spanish as a second Language, she has spent the past five years teaching Spanish and English at Cas di Papiamento, where she shared her passion for both languages.
At My Kinder House, Adriana had the privilege of working as a Lead Teacher for a small primary class of children aged 3 to 6 years. This role allowed her to teach various subjects, including arts, practical life skills, Spanish, reading, and writing. It was during this time that she realized she wanted to take on greater challenges in her career.
In October 2024 Adriana obtained her AMI Montessori 12-18 orientation certification. Currently, Adriana works as a certified Teacher Assistant and certified Spanish as a second language Teacher at YNZ Montessori High School. She is excited about the opportunities ahead and the chance to continue making a positive impact on future generations.
